Operating Coaching Launches   Course Information

The most appropriate course now which is available  is the ISA National Powerboat Certificate as it covers allof the basic boat handling skills and knowledge required to safely use an open powerboat.

The other recommended course is the Safety boat course. This covers the skills required to provide safety cover for dinghy racing fleets as well as windsurfers, canoeists etc.  Both courses are recognised by the Department of Transport, FETAC and entitle the holder to the International certificate of Competency, an international boat driving licence, this is most useful when supporting rowers travelling abroad.
