| The late Dave Gannon |
| Dave Gannon has died today after a short illness, being well until last autumn. He learned his rowing in UCD and was in the first winning coxless pair in the modern era in 1971. He was on the IARU executive in the late '70's and was part of the pathfinding period when Ireland began to sent competitive crews to FISA Championships. In recent years, he has infrequently rowed with Old Collegians. Our sympathies to his family.
